Log In Help
If you are having trouble
with the forums because it is constantly asking you to log in, we
have prepared this help page for you.
The forum system requires
the use of cookies. Cookies must be turned on in your browser and
firewall. Enabling cookies does not open your system to hacking
by itself.
Follow these steps to
set your browser to accept cookies. If you prefer to still use the
HIGH privacy setting, read further and add BCFOA.ORG as a trusted
site in your browser.
Step
One: Enable Cookies

In Internet Explorer,
go to the Tools menu and select Internet Options.
Click on the Privacy
tab. Move the slider to MEDIUM to accept cookies. If you prefer
to leave this set to HIGH or are still having problems, follow the
instructions below. You will not be able to use the forums if you
have this set to BLOCK ALL COOKIES.
At the bottom of this
dialog box, click on Edit... under the Web Sites section.

Enter www.bcfoa.org
in the Address of Web Site field and click the Allow button. This
will add www.bcfoa.org to the Allowed Sites list. Click OK and then
OK again to return. Restart your browser.
Step
Two: Firewall Issues
If you continue
to have problems, check the settings in your firewall software.
This includes ZoneAlarm, McAfee Security, and Norton Internet Security.
This could also include any built-in firewalls in a Cable/DSL Router
such as a Linksys box. Make sure that this firewall or router is
not blocking cookies being accepted. In most of these systems, you
should be able to add www.bcfoa.org to a trusted site list if you
prefer to keep your cookie protection level set to a high level.
Let us know if you have
tried all of these steps and continue to have trouble logging into
our forums. |
